UTi Transport’s introduction to Newell Brands began in January 2015 when UTi was chosen as a Preferred Logistics Provider through a Global Air Freight RFP process late in 2014.
UTi and Newell Brands had not worked together before, so it was a pleasant surprise when UTi was awarded business as one of Newell’s top two providers.
Just fifteen months later, UTi received an invitation from Newell Brand’s to attend their awards dinner where UTi Transport was chosen to receive one of the “2015 Carrier of the Year” awards. Zane Douglas with Newell Brands wrote,
UTi, because of your hard work, dedication to our account and our company’s strong partnership over the past year, UTi has been selected as one of Newell Brands 2015 Carrier of the Year.

This award was earned as a result of superior customer service, communication and visibility; cost efficiencies; and a true teamwork-approach by all the UTI global offices engaged in this business.
UTi took a centralized approach with the Newell Brands business by establishing an account with the Client Services Center (SCS) in Atlanta GA, providing Newell Brands with a one stop shop for their airfreight services, generating additional business growth.
